I teach people to fish and I keep it simple.
My aim is for you to be fishing independently by the end of your very first session.
You’ll learn the basics, build confidence, have a few laughs along the way and you will be rewarded by catching fish and learning a new skill.
Whether you’re completely new to fishing or looking to improve your skills, I’ll guide you step by step in a relaxed, practical and enjoyable way.
By the end of your session, you won’t just have learned how to fish, you’ll have taken the first step towards a potential lifelong passion for angling and the great outdoors.

I’m Daniel Sapiano, a fully qualified Angling Trust Event Lead Coach with over 40 years’ angling experience. Fishing has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’m fortunate to now be able to share that experience with others through professional coaching.
For me, angling is about far more than simply catching fish. It’s about learning new skills, building confidence, spending time outdoors and developing an appreciation and respect for nature. I particularly enjoy helping complete beginners discover fishing for the first time, as well as working with more experienced anglers who want to improve their technique and understanding.
My sessions are relaxed, practical and enjoyable, with a strong emphasis on safety, fish welfare and good angling practice. Whether I’m coaching an individual, a family, a group or a school, my aim is always the same — to provide quality tuition, make people feel comfortable and confident, and hopefully leave them wanting to come back and fish again.
I’m fully insured, Enhanced DBS checked and adhere strictly to the Angling Trust Code of Conduct, ensuring that every session is delivered professionally, safely and inclusively.

Angling provides a practical skill set that can spark a lifelong passion shared across generations.
Beyond the sport itself, fishing is a unique tool for connection. When friends and families learn together, communication improves naturally. Everyone learns to work as a team and celebrate each success. Ultimately, angling is about much more than catching fish—it is a powerful way to bond with loved ones, connect with nature, build patience, and boost self-confidence.
Furthermore, it offers a therapeutic, low-pressure environment that directly supports the unique neurological needs of individuals with ADHD or autism. Escaping to the water provides a peaceful break from daily demands, helping to promote sensory regulation, calm the mind, and improve emotional well-being.
